About us

Hope for Family Development Initiative (HFDI) was established in 2007 and registered with state governments and Corporate Affairs Commission Nigeria (RC 31140) as a movement to improve the lives of marginalized and vulnerable groups. Whatever the circumstances, HFDI believes that marginalized and vulnerable groups are faced with unique issues and challenges which require empowerment, skills acquisition training and better community understanding for them to cope with their exceedingly difficult conditions. Hope for Family Development Initiative has expertise for conducting Capacity Building Training, Social mobilization, Community Surveys, Operational Research (Baseline Survey), Strategy Review and Development, Human Resources Development, NGO Governance, Technical Backstopping, Management Systems, Institutional Review and Analysis, Project Supervision and Monitoring, Report writing , Project Design and Final Evaluation . The Organization also conducts research into several areas in developmental issues and has highly qualified and experienced staff in SPSS and DHIS1.4, Epi Data, Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.),

PITT, and STATA. HFDI has conducted various capacity building for Non-Governmental Organization, Community based Organization, Faith based Organization and other Non-state Actor at various levels. HFDI has a funding history that ranged from $3,030 in 2007 to thousands ($879,862.85) US Dollar project in recent years. The organization has received funding from government agencies, national and international funding organizations such as Family Health International (fhi360), Society for Family Health (SFH), UNICEF, OSACA, KWASACA, FBI, EU-INSIDE, EU-SRIP, RUWESA, CISHAN, MSH, NAPEP, Association for Family and Reproductive Health under Global Fund (Round 9), ACOMIN, CiSHAN, TB Network, PACT, STAI, Action on Prevention Violence, Health Communication Capacity Collaboration, state Governments etc. EU under increasing Non State Actors Implementation and Development Expertise project, PACT and MSH supported the institutional development of the organization for 5 years and their support contributed immensely to building the management systems and development component of our work.
